Whether a heat pump is suitable depends on heat loss, flow temperature, the outdoor location and the technical room — often combined with a better shell.

Boiler · heat pump · multi-splitThree approaches.
A boiler, an air-to-water heat pump and a multi-split air conditioner are three different approaches. Compare their role in the home and what they need.
Gas boiler for heating and hot water.
A condensing combi boiler, such as the Vaillant ecoTEC plus, provides central heating and domestic hot water from a single unit. We assess it together with the radiators or underfloor heating, the flue, the gas connection and your hot water demand.
With radiators and/or underfloor heating
Correct flue and safety provisions
Comfort according to demand and line length
Once the principle is chosen: pipework, controls, safety components and maintenance access in the technical room — coordinated with floors, walls and ceilings.
Heat pump for heating and hot water.
An air-to-water heat pump — Cube HP, Daikin or Vaillant — delivers heat to a water-based circuit, optionally with a hot water cylinder or buffer tank. Whether it is suitable depends on heat loss, flow temperature, the outdoor location and the technical room.
Often with low-temperature radiators or underfloor heating
Plan the outdoor unit's location, noise and drainage early
Sizing and commissioning per project
Once the principle is chosen: pipework, controls, safety components and maintenance access in the technical room — coordinated with floors, walls and ceilings.
Targeted cooling and heating with indoor units.
A multi-split air conditioner, such as the Midea Free-Match R32, connects one outdoor unit to several indoor units — for room-by-room temperature control.
Several rooms from one outdoor unit
Plan indoor units and lines in advance
Capacity confirmed per project
Once the principle is chosen: pipework, controls, safety components and maintenance access in the technical room — coordinated with floors, walls and ceilings.
Technical roomSpace, distribution and access work together.
Once the principle is chosen, the technical room must be able to house the pipework, safety components, controls, hot water appliances, acoustic measures and safe maintenance access.

Which grants are available for your renovation depends on the work and your situation. Our adviser finds out what you're entitled to, submits the applications with you and, if you wish, arranges a renovation loan through KBC.
Questions about heating and coolingWhat our clients ask us.
Is a heat pump suitable for my home?
That depends on heat loss, flow temperature, the outdoor location and the technical room. A heat pump often works with low-temperature radiators or underfloor heating.
Can I also heat with a multi-split?
Yes, a multi-split can cool and heat room by room — provided the design accounts for capacity, line lengths, condensate drainage and the location of the outdoor unit.
Why insulate first?
A better shell reduces heat loss; that helps determine which system and how much capacity you need.
Who sizes the system?
Every system is sized, hydraulically designed and commissioned for each home.
